PAST NEWS January 06, 2007 Good year to all . . . well, maybe not to the imperialist administrations out there, still playing the neocolonialist game and persistently ignoring global warming. Other than that, live the good life (but not at the expense of others) and start thinking about the good death.
In other news, Friday, January 19th, 2007, at Club Saw in Ottawa, Rock and Roll Revival and the Nomad Gallery will be showcasing local music and art, with performances by Riishi Rockfeller, Dog Park Radio, Reyn, Members of the Second Glance, Tungda Browne, Grand Motel, and more. There will also be poetry readings and a documentary screening.

In other news, a really cool mag out of Vancouver, B.C., Bleach Magazine*, is seeking submissions for their 9th issue. This is what they’re looking for: Writing in any genre? Less than 6 pages (sent as an attachment, not in the body of the email. No funny fonts!). Visual art? Less than 6 images (keep in mind that the issue is 11 x 7 in. and photocopied in black and white). The deadline is Wednesday, October 11th, 2006. The release party is Thursday, October 26th, 2006. September 20, 2006 The world isn’t the only thing that’s changing, that’s heating up. Sorrowland Press is proud to present its new website www.sorrowlandpress.com along with its fresh (but long) email address nollama@sorrowlandpress.com. Regrettably, King Demento’s Magical Emporium has been put aside for the time being so we could solely concentrate on SP’s endeavours.
For now let us introduce a new online project entitled Observations, After featuring Adam Jeffries Schwartz. Observations, After will be updated on a weekly to monthly basis, posting new non-fiction postcards from Adam as he travels around the world.
Also, as usual, Sorrowland Press is accepting submissions for upcoming issues of Dance to Death. Take a look at our often evolving submission guidelines.
